FAQs

This FAQ page is designed to give you a high-level overview of how the Well–Crafted Community works, what’s expected of Members (Suppliers and Clients alike), and offers a summary of our Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). The Booking Confirmation will always contain the key details about each Workshop — and in the event of a conflict, it overrides the general T&Cs.

  • The process unfolds in four clear steps:

    1.          Supplier Onboarding: You apply to join the Community and, if accepted, receive a “Community Joiner Sheet” confirming your status and fee.

    2.          Client Request: A Client submits a booking request via the Well–Crafted website outlining preferred dates, location, and type of Workshop.

    3.          Matching and Confirmation: Well–Crafted liaises with suitable Suppliers and confirms the match in writing, in the Booking Confirmation (see below). This sets out all key info — date, fees, setup, and more.

    4.          Workshop Delivery: The Supplier leads the Workshop for the Client. Once it’s complete, the contract ends, but the Terms remain in effect for some provisions.

For more information, please see clause 1 (Structure & Formation) of the Terms.

  • Each Booking Confirmation is tailored to the specific Workshop, and that’s where you’ll find all the key details — including:

    ·       Date, time, and venue

    ·       Number of participants

    ·       The Supplier leading the Workshop

    ·       Setup and materials required

    ·       The total Workshop Fee

    ·       Any bespoke elements or special terms

    ·       Cancellation terms (if they differ from the default)

If something differs from the general Terms — for example, a different cancellation window or a custom pricing model — the Booking Confirmation will always take precedence for that Workshop. (The T&Cs are the foundation of our Community, but the Booking Confirmation matters most for your specific Workshop.)

For more information, please see clause 1 (Structure & Formation) of the Terms.

  • Unless a Booking Confirmation says otherwise:

    ·       Pricing: Workshops are priced on a per-person basis. The usual minimum is:

    • £50 per person

    • 10-person minimum (i.e. £500 minimum booking)

    • Maximum of 30 participants (unless agreed otherwise)

For more information, please see clause 2 (Workshop Design, Delivery & Cancellation) of the Terms.

    ·       Fee Breakdown:

    • Clients pay a single “Workshop Fee” (no hidden extras).

    • Suppliers receive a pre-agreed fixed fee (the “Supplier’s Fee”) which is inclusive of all travel, materials, and setup.

    • A separate “Community Charge” is retained by Well–Crafted to cover matchmaking and logistics.

    ·       Expenses: Suppliers must not submit receipts. Clients may receive an itemised estimate for internal use — but the all-inclusive Workshop Fee remains binding.

For more information, please see clause 4 (Supplier Rights & Responsibilities) of the Terms.

  • ·       Venue: The Workshop may be held at the Client’s office, the Supplier’s studio, or (with enough notice) at Alexandra Lunn Studios at 180 The Strand. Use of the Strand venue starts at £150 and must be booked 2+ weeks in advance.

    ·       Materials: Suppliers are responsible for bringing all necessary supplies. If the Workshop requires Client-provided facilities (e.g. water or electricity), this should be noted and confirmed in advance.

    ·       Bespoke Workshops: Custom or themed Workshops may incur extra concept development and project management fees (typically £125/hour). This includes time spent scoping, developing, and refining the creative plan with Clients and Suppliers. Timesheets are shared for transparency.

For more information, please see clause 2 (Workshop Design, Delivery & Cancellation) of the Terms.

  • Unless a Booking Confirmation says otherwise:

    ·       By the Client or Supplier: Cancellation fees apply if you cancel within five Business Days of the Workshop (typically 50% of the total fee). In exceptional cases (bereavement, illness), Well–Crafted may waive this at its discretion.

    ·       By Well–Crafted: We’ll only cancel a Workshop in truly unavoidable circumstances. We’ll always try to make things right – whether that’s by rescheduling or offering an alternative.

    ·       For more information, please see clause 2 (Workshop Design, Delivery & Cancellation) of the Terms.

  • Unless a Booking Confirmation says otherwise:

    ·       Clients pay 50% on confirmation and 50% within 7 days of the Workshop.

    ·       Suppliers are paid promptly after the Client has paid.

For more information, please see clause 6 (Payment) of the Terms.

  • ·       Everyone keeps ownership of their own intellectual property (IP).

    ·       You can share photos and Workshop materials as long as it’s accurate, respectful, and honours any agreed brand guidelines.

    ·       Any marketing posts should tag @well_crafted and respect participant privacy.

    ·       Suppliers may also be invited to attend trade shows or events as representatives of the Community. These are optional and paid at a day rate or honorarium.

For more information, please see clause 7 (Intellectual Property & Publicity) of the Terms.

  • ·       To protect everyone’s time and boundaries, Members must not contact one another directly outside of the Workshop, unless permission is given by Well–Crafted.

    ·       This helps Well–Crafted maintain a high level of service and fairness, and to deal with any issues that arise.

    • Suppliers are independent contractors, not employees.

    • Suppliers are responsible for your own tax, insurance, and business structure.

    • The agreement with Well–Crafted ensures that rights and obligations are clear — but doesn’t create a partnership or employment relationship.
